My WoW for this week is…

Title: Stalking Jack the Ripper

Author: Kerri Maniscalco

Release Date: September 20th 2016

Publisher:  Jimmy Patterson

Genre: Historical Fiction, Mystery, YA

Goodreads

Presented by James Patterson’s new children’s imprint, this deliciously creepy horror novel has a storyline inspired by the Ripper murders and an unexpected, blood-chilling conclusion…

Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord’s daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.

Against her stern father’s wishes and society’s expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle’s laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.

The story’s shocking twists and turns, augmented with real, sinister period photos, will make this dazzling debut from author Kerri Maniscalco impossible to forget.

WHY I’M WAITING

Jack The Ripper case always fascinated me.

But this story is definitely more interesting. Especially with the gorgeous Victorian setting, which I love to read. But better yet with a complicate, interesting young woman as a main character!!

Stalking Jack the Ripper is certainly one of my top anticipated books, I am eagerly awaiting. I just love a Kickass main female character. And this story certainly sounds amazing, especially with a Victorian-era female character doing something so outrageous as performing autopsies to track down a serial killer?
That titbit alone is enough for me to read this book. I’m extremely delighted and I cannot wait to read this beauty!

Helena ❤

  1. This book really intrigues me, I read an excerpt for it and it was this description of a autopsy! A female main character from the Victorian era who performs autopsies, isn’t a plot line which I had even considered never mind read so it definitely has my attention. I am also loving this cover, knife, striking colour and part of pretty dress, such a great combo!
