Review: Juniper Lemon’s Happiness Index by Julie Israel

Hello everyone😊 I hope you are all having an amazing and super wonderful full day 🌞How have you been? What are you guys reading📖 It’s been like forever, I haven’t wrote a review for a book since a couple of weeks now because I was in this MAJOR BOOK SLUMP that I’m happy to say has disappeared!!!🙌🙌🙌

I’m so glad I finally had the chance to read Juniper Lemon’s Happiness Index. Honestly, I can’t believe it took me this long, but I’m super happy that I finally read it, it makes me smile just by thinking about, it’s an incredible story that I’m planning to read as soon as I get the chance.

Juniper Lemon’s Happiness Index is about a girl – Juniper – who lost her sister in a car accident and when that happened, she lost her parents in a way too. They are more guarded and kept to themselves, mostly her mom, but we could really tell they were all mourning in a different way.

She writes about the happy and sad things that happens to her n index cards. Then everything changes when she lost an index card, number 65 and also finds a letter from her sister addressed to “You”. She starts to look for it and the person her sister wrote to and along the way she finds new friends and love.

I started to read Juniper Lemon’s Happiness Index on Nov 8th and finished on Nov 21st, there’s a special and at the same time simple reason of why it took me this long to finish this book… I just loved and I really, REALLY, didn’t want to finish it.

When I first read the synopsis of the book my heart told me I should read, seriously I’m not kidding, there was just something special about this book that made me want to read it. I thought it sounded like something I would really enjoy and so I read it.

I laughed, cried and swooned while reading this book. It has all the elements I always looks for when picking my next read and I have to say, this book didn’t disappoint me at all. It was original, perfect, heartbreaking and just… real. The writing style of the author was perfect, I really couldn’t wait to know what was going to happen next, like the things Juniper would discover.

This story is about loss, friendship, love & family. About what it feels to feel like you have lost everyone you once loved to then realize there are other people out there that understands you and that are just meant to be friends and be like family.

This story kept surprising me till the very end. The characters of this book, every single one of them, were super unique and special that I just couldn’t wait to read more about them. Juniper, Angela, Kody, Sponge, Nate and Brand, are definitely my new all time favorite characters. I know I already said this but, they were just so authentic, and I loved how they help Juniper to find “You”.

This story was super original and perfect and I really hope you guys read it. I really think you are going to like it! It was amazing from beginning to end and I’m sure once you start to read it you won’t want to finish it. I’t amazing, awesome and perfect. Definitely one of the best books I’ve EVER read.

Rebeca xoxo
