Mini Review: The Tropes I love The Most In One Fun & Swoony book❤️ The Fine Art of Pretending by Rachel Harris

I recently saw this book, The Fine Art of Pretending, in a picture on Instagram and it immediately caught my attention!❤ You guys know how much I love Contemporary books and so, after I saw this book, I went to Goodreads to read the synopsis and it sounded like a fun read. I bought the ebook and ended up reading it in one day😅

One of my all time favorite tropes in books is when the best friends fall in love and my other favorite trope is when the characters are pretending to date each other😍 And guess what?! This book has both tropes😍❤🙌📚

This was a wonderful, cute and swoony story about friendship and love. One of the things I really liked about this story was how supportive Alyssa’s friends were with her, specially Brandon. He was always there, supporting her and letting her know when something wasn’t ok. While I sometimes didn’t like Alyssa’s decisions, I still think she was an amazing character who even when she made a mistake her friends supported her no matter what.

I love the fact that  this story was told in two POV’s! I love when books have different POV’s, it helps me to understand the characters better and to know more about their lives! Brandon and Ally are definitely amazing friends and I love their chemistry, they were perfect for each other and I loved how little by little we see them falling for each other❤

If you are looking for a quick read, I would definitely recommend you to read The Fine Art of Pretending, It was a very fun and swoony read❤

Have you read this book?📚 Are you planning to read it? What are some of your favorite tropes?😊 Please let me know in the comments below!

  1. I have had this book for sooooo long. I think it’s an ARC that was picked up at BEA back in the day. Oddly enough, it seems exactly like something I would love, and I have vowed to read something from Harris, since I own several of her books. It may very well be this book, since you loved it so much.
